The same design on every count
Fabric count is simply how many stitches fit in one inch, so it is the only thing that decides how big a finished piece comes out. Here is your chart worked on each common fabric:

How the numbers work
There is no estimation here — it is one division. Count is defined as stitches per inch, so:
- Stitched width = chart width ÷ count. A 100-stitch-wide chart on 14-count is 100 ÷ 14 = 7.1 inches.
- Cut width = stitched width + twice your margin. With a 3-inch margin that same piece needs 13.1 inches of fabric.
- Stitching over two on linen or evenweave halves the effective count: 28-count worked over two threads behaves exactly like 14-count.
Choosing a count

The same chart shrinks as the count rises, which is the usual reason to change fabric: not because a design demands it, but because you want the finished piece bigger or smaller. Nothing about the chart itself changes.
